These Kartmaster ceramic hybrid axle bearings are a great fit for 1 1/4' axles. With a 1 1/4' inner diameter and a 62mm outer diameter, they are sold individually. Crafted with top - notch components, these bearings feature #52100 chrome steel races, Si3N4 ceramic balls, an injection - molded polyamide cage, rubber seals, C3 clearance, and are built to P6 precision. They are SB style insert bearings with an inner ring that is flush on one side. The Si3N4 ceramic balls are the star of the show. They're non - porous, non - magnetic, non - corrosive, and lighter than steel. They're also harder and nearly frictionless, allowing them to spin faster than steel balls. These high - quality Si3N4 balls have an extremely hard and smooth surface, over 2x harder than steel, 4x smoother, and about half the weight. They won't crack or micro - weld like steel balls. Instead, they polish the races as they roll. They're also resistant to corrosion and won't pick up particles. If the races get damaged by dirt, the ceramic balls can polish them smooth again. They reduce friction, run at lower temperatures, and vibrate less. Do note that these ceramic hybrid bearings need a short break - in period to reach their best operating efficiency.

Using these Kartmaster ceramic hybrid axle bearings is simple. Just fit them onto your 1 1/4' axles of your racing kart. When installing, make sure they are placed correctly, with the flush side of the inner ring in the right position. As for maintenance, try to keep the bearings clean. Wipe off any dirt or debris regularly. Since these bearings are made with high - quality Si3N4 ceramic balls, they're quite durable, but it's still a good idea to check them occasionally for any signs of wear. Remember, these bearings need a short break - in period. During this time, don't push your kart to its extreme. Let the bearings 'settle in' and then you'll get the best performance out of them.
