This full - length, one - piece exhaust pipe comes with a fully machined header manifold, similar to the setups in IAME Swift and KA100. The junior version features a restricted 22.7mm header. The package includes one one - piece exhaust pipe, one exhaust manifold, two exhaust studs, two exhaust springs, and one exhaust gasket. Before making any changes, be sure to check the rules of your racing series or track regarding the legality of these parts. The X30 pipe now comes with a welded EGT bung straight from the factory. This bung is versatile and can be used with either the Big Nut EGT sensor style or the 5mm external thread small EGT sensor. However, out of the box, the pipe isn't ready for either sensor type. If you choose the Big Nut Style EGT, you'll need to drill a small hole at the bottom of the pipe bung for sensor insertion. For the 5mm External Thread Style EGT sensor, you'll have to grind or cut down the EGT bung to the 'flat' area and then drill the center, being careful not to remove the inner 5mm threads. Sometimes, after cutting and drilling, you may need to run a 5mm tap through the hole to clean the threads. Comet can pre - prepare the bung for you; just select the option from the dropdown menu. Due to its size, a freight fee will be charged for this item.

Using your 2021 X30 Exhaust Pipe System is straightforward. First, check the rules of your racing series or track to make sure these parts are legal. Then, install the included one - piece exhaust pipe, exhaust manifold, studs, springs, and gasket according to the standard installation procedures for exhaust systems. When it comes to the EGT sensor, if you've chosen the Big Nut Style EGT, use a drill to make a small hole at the bottom of the pipe bung so you can insert the sensor. For the 5mm External Thread Style EGT sensor, you'll need to do some grinding or cutting of the bung and then drill the center. After that, you might need to clean the threads with a 5mm tap. Remember, if you don't want to do this yourself, Comet can prepare the bung for you. As for maintenance, regularly check the exhaust studs and springs for tightness. Look for any signs of damage or wear on the exhaust pipe and gasket. If you notice any issues, replace the parts as soon as possible to keep your exhaust system working at its best.
