The Rok VLR exhaust pipe comes with a large nut - style EGT bung. Right from the factory, this pipe has a welded EGT bung. Now, let's explore your options. The bung is versatile, suitable for both the Big Nut EGT sensor style and the 5mm external thread small EGT sensor. However, out of the box, the pipe isn't ready for either bung. If you choose the Big Nut Style EGT, you'll need to drill a small hole at the bottom of the pipe bung to insert the sensor. For the 5mm External Thread Style EGT sensor, you have to grind or cut the EGT bung to the 'flat' part and then drill the center. Make sure the hole isn't too big to remove the inner 5mm threads. Sometimes, after cutting and drilling, you may need to run a 5mm tap through the hole to clean the threads. Don't worry, Comet can prepare the bung for you.
