The Arai SK - 6 is a top - notch karting helmet crafted specifically for kart racers. Medium and Large sizes are currently out of stock until late October. This helmet uses the same shell shape as the GP - 6(PED), benefiting from valuable feedback from F1, IndyCar, and NASCAR. It comes with numerous upgrades and innovations on top of the features of the previous SK - 5 model. The SK - 6 shares the same shield and eyeport size as the GP - 6(PED) and is Snell KA certified for karting. Built with Arai's exclusive 'ScLc' (Super Complete Laminated Construction), it's incredibly lightweight yet offers great shell strength and flexibility. The strong shell allows for a super - soft interior EPS liner, ensuring maximum comfort and excellent impact energy management. Like all Arai SK models, it's designed with karting in mind. It has a brushed nylon liner for better comfort, breathability, and easy washing. It also features a positive shield lock mechanism for solid latching and normal shield operation. The new shield pivot hardware enhances aerodynamics. It has a wider eye port for a broader peripheral view, larger intake and exhaust vents for better ventilation, a new 'Removable/Replaceable' cheek pad design for custom fitting, and removable cheek pad covers for easy cleaning.

Using the Arai SK - 6 karting helmet is straightforward. Just put it on your head, adjust the straps for a snug fit, and you're ready to hit the track. Make sure the shield is properly latched using the positive shield lock mechanism before starting your race. When it comes to maintenance, remove the cheek pad covers regularly for a thorough cleaning. You can also take out the cheek pads if needed and choose different thicknesses for a custom fit. Keep the helmet in a cool, dry place when not in use. If you notice any damage to the shell or other parts, stop using it immediately and consult with a professional for inspection or replacement. Always follow the Snell KA certification guidelines for karting use to ensure your safety.
